Although we try our best to provide guests with a safe environment, please realise that you are in nature - as such, there might be dangerous wild animals such as snakes, leopards, etc. also enjoying their stay at Luiperdsloop Lodge. Guests accept their own risk of injury and/or death and the lodge/owners/management/staff of Luiperdsloop Lodge can not be held responsible in such an event. All facilities at the lodge are used at guests own risk. All accommodations/facilities provided to guests at Luiperdsloop Lodge can be inspected at anytime by management or a designated staff member(s) - should any breakages or damages be found, the repair/replacement cost will be for the account of the person who made the booking. Should a guest, upon arrival, discover any such breakages, damages or faults, we ask that it should be reported to management at the earliest convenience - preferably as soon as possible. - Deposits
Should a reservation be made using the EFT payment option, a 50% deposit is required to confirm the booking. The deposit has to be made withing 48 hours of the reservation being made on the website or the booking will be cancelled after 72 hours. The banking details and required payment reference are provided in the email that you will receive when making the booking when choosing the EFT payment option. The remaining 50% will be payable upon arrival at Luiperdsloop Lodge. - Cancellation/No-Show Policy

No-shows for a reservation will forfeit any monies payed and the person that made the reservation could be held liable for the full payment thereof if only a deposit was paid. - General
- Appliances
We ask guests staying at Luiperdsloop Lodge, to please only use appliances provided - be it those inside their accommodations, or those in common areas, or basically any appliance they might encounter during their stay - only for the purpose for which the appliance was designed and/or intended for. It might seem like a good idea to try and use the microwave as a clothes dryer, but we can assure you, it's not! - Smoking
We ask guests to please not smoke inside any of the accommodations - there are designated smoking areas and we urge guests to please consider other guests should they wish to light up. Cigarette butts are not to be tossed, flicked, thrown, shot or even gently put down in any areas except those designated for them (also known as ashtrays). We especially ask guests not to dispose of cigarette butts in the bush. Veld fires are unfortunately a reality and can be very destructive, not only to the wildlife, but could also put guests at risk as well. Any person(s) found to have knowingly (or unknowingly) started a veld fire, can and will be held liable for any damages that may have, or might have occurred, due to the fire. Such a person might also be criminally charged. - Cleaning Service
Luiperdsloop Lodge offers guests, as an optional extra, a cleaning service (quick cleanup, washing of dishes and/or beds made) for their booked accommodation. This service can be booked during the initial reservation being made on the Luiperdsloop website, or during their stay at Luiperdsloop Lodge. Should this service not be required, we ask guests to please ensure the cleanliness of the accommodations at all times.
Should a booking be longer than 5 days, a change of bedding will take place after every 3 nights and toilet paper will be replenished. Common and private braai areas will serviced daily by our friendly staff members. - Children
We love kids, and for that reason we ask that parents please look after and supervise their activities. Accidents do happen, but ultimately it's up to the parent(s)/guardian(s) of the child to ensure his or her safety. - Pets
Luiperdsloop Lodge is a pet-friendly lodge. We do however ask guests to please inform management prior to arrival of any pets that might be joining you for your stay with us. This can be done by either adding it to the "Additional Notes" section when completing your booking on the website, by emailing bookings@luiperdsloop.co.za, or by phoning us prior to our arrival. This way we can ensure that your pet enjoys their stay just as much as you! - Signage
Guests are reminded to please observe and obey any signs posted in and around around Luiperdsloop Lodge. Although some might seem silly, they have been put up for a reason. The most obvious being the road signs. The speed limits have been carefully chosen so as to ensure not only the safety of the human road users, but the safety of any wildlife that might also galloping off into the sunset... - Fauna & Flora
We strongly urge guests to enjoy the fauna (wildlife) & flora (flowers and plants) in and around Luiperdsloop Lodge. But please do not feed or try to pet any wildlife. There is a reason why they are called "wildlife". Lastly, do not try to take home any of them - the fauna and flora is indigenous to the Luiperdsloop Lodge/Vaalwater/Melkrivier area, chances they will not survive. And all that would have been accomplished is the needless death of an innocent critter, creature or plant. - Acts Of God/Natural Disasters/Unforeseeable Events
Luiperdsloop Lodge strives to provide guests with the most enjoyable stay possible, but unfortunately we can also only do that much. Acts of God and natural disasters do tend to happen when we least expect it.
As for unforeseeable events like power outages, bad cellphone reception or no internet connection (heaven forbid!!), please understand that these are things that are beyond our control. We do however urge guests to, in these types of circumstances, to make the best of them and to then actually enjoy the beautiful nature surrounding them.
Should guests start to get social media or email withdrawal symptoms, we ask that they then turn to the other people in their party and to then actually communicate with them directly. Such interactions might be difficult at first, but we assure guests that it is possible and could ultimately lead to an actual enjoyable experience.
- Appliances
All in all we just ask guests to use common sense when staying at Luiperdsloop Lodge. These Terms and Conditions/Rules were not thought up to make your stay unpleasant or uncomfortable. Luiperdsloop Lodge wants each and every guest to become a member of the Luiperdsloop family and to remember each and every stay with us for decades!
